A professionally taught beer tasting, featuring sensory analysis training and the comparing and contrasting of 5 different beer types.
This class will explore the rise of American beers and delve into the range of exciting styles within the category.
Led by JulieAnne Diehl, taproom brewer for the DBC Lowry location, and Grace Meluso, taproom lead at our South Downing taproom, with help from DBC production brewer Sarah Hiller, this three-part class series will be a professionally taught beer tasting, featuring sensory analysis training and the comparing and contrasting of 5 different beers types.
In this class we’ll talk about history, flavors, ingredients, and teach our palette how to properly taste and smell beer like a beer judge. Then we’ll round out class with a facilitated discussion comparing and contrasting each beer and its assets.
This event is for anyone and everyone who has ever wanted to learn more about craft beer and learn to think (and taste!) like a cicerone in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Each participant will receive a full tasting flight with their class!
